I’m back with another natural beauty recipe! This has been my go-to face oil for the last few months and I absolutely love it! Not only does it leave you skin glowing and smooth, it’s full of antibacterial properties and great for acne-prone skin!
I’ve been using oils on my skin for a year and my skin has never looked better! There are so many non-comedogenic oils so beneficial for your skin; to learn more about them, read my other blog post here.
Let’s start with all the benefits this skin care recipe has to offer:
Neem Oil: Contains high level of antioxidants, helps fight free radical damage and rich in EFA’s to help combat dry skin. Neem Oil is an antibacterial, antifungal and helps fight acne. Helps with skin pigmentation, an anti-inflammatory, helps heal damaged skin and reduce redness. Neem Oil has a comedogenic rating of 1 so it’s safe for acne prone skin. *do not use neem oil while pregnant or breastfeeding or trying to get pregnant.
Argan Oil: Rich in vitamin A, E, Omega 6 fatty acids and linoleic acid (linoleic acid reduces inflammation in acne prone skin). Reduces sebum levels to combat oily skin, and helps prevent stretch marks. Argan Oil has a comedogenic rating of 0 so it’s safe for acne prone skin.
Lavender Essential Oil: The oil has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties that can fight the bacteria that cause acne and inflammation. It also helps control sebum and is a powerful antioxidant aiding in detoxing the skin.
Frankincense Essential Oil: Contains astringent and antiseptic properties and helps heal minor wounds.
The Vitamin E oil in this recipe acts as a natural preservative. Keep neem oil in the fridge until you mix it; after mixing keep in a cool dark place. Shelf life is approx. 12 months.
I use this a moisturizer in the morning and at night.
Your skin will thank you for this recipe, Enjoy!!
*DO NOT USE PURE NEEM OIL DIRECTLY ON SKIN. It is very potent and may cause an allergic reaction. Always mix it with a carrier oil.
This plant-based face oil recipe will leave your skin smooth, hydrated and glowing.
